I love family history and the author of this book. It’s so important to know your family’s history. Thank you Sharon for sharing our history and taking precious time to ensure the accuracy and quality. Your dad is smiling from up above!

The parent's values of life. Their family, faith, and commitment to do what's right despite bad laws and bad people. Those values stand today as well. A man who put humanity before his own needs. To sever others and speak up for those who did not have a voice. An ordinary man who just didn't seat around at the barbershop and talk about what someone should be doing, but did what he could do while he could. Ms. Sharon Bennett got it right she may no agree with everything her "Daddy" said or did, but appreciate his sacrifices and is grateful now.

I especially liked that Jewel Of The South gives one an exciting look into the life of an incredible man! Too, it affords a view into the extraordinary measures African Americans had to take during a particularly turbulent time in America especially in the South. I would definitely recommend this book as a wonderful addition to any personal library that seeks a panoramic view of an amazing man and his personal journey!!

What a powerful and invigorating story this was! If you are looking for a book, to keep you captivated from beginning to end, Jewel of the South will not disappoint. The author keeps you engaged and her candid assessment of the determination and issues her father faced, made you appreciate every trial and test that was overcome
